Due to overwhelming demand The Wombats are pleased to announce a second Brisbane show, Thursday 5th May @ The Tivoli, and Adelaide show will now be upgraded to bigger venue Thursday 12th May Thebarton Theatre.

Tickets for these shows will be onsale Monday 7th March.

Sydney band Tortoiseshell are confirmed as national support.

Tortoiseshell’s debut single ‘This Girl’ has been played by the likes of Tim Sweeney on Beats in Space, featured on the Fader’s soccer world cup mix series, hovered around the number 1 position on ‘We Are Hunted’ (www.wearehunted.com), and set the blogosphere alight; Tortoiseshell are well and truly making a worldwide impression. ‘This Girl’ has also been played extensively on Triple J, as well as Sydney’s FBI, Melbourne’s RRR. They are in the midst of recording their first EP, which is due out on Canyon’s Hole In The Sky label in April.

Liverpool trio The Wombats will soon be back on Australian shores in April/May, performing at the Groovin The Moo Festivals and their own headline shows around the country.

Their ridiculously catchy single ‘Let’s Dance To Joy Division’ (winner of the 2008 NME Award for Best Dancefloor Filler), and  #12 position in Triple J’s HOTTEST 100, saw their debut album ‘A Guide To Love Loss And Desperation’ become an anthemic summer album.

In amongst their festival performances, they will play at the The Tivoli Theatre in Brisbane on Tuesday 3 May and Thursday 5th May, Enmore Theatre in Sydney on Monday 9 May, Melbourne's Palais Theatre on Wednesday 11 May and The Thebarton Theatre in Adelaide on Thursday 12 May. 

The band's eagerly anticipated second album, This Modern Glitch is out in April and contains last year's UK Top 20 single "Tokyo (Vampires and Wolves)" and new single "Jump in the Fog."
